Following on from the first installment of remixes that saw the likes of Ellen Allien and Mathias Kaden tackling material off her latest album, Dutch techno mainstay Shinedo this time opts for deeper remixes from a host of different characters, and the results are astounding. Jerome Sydenham keeps things techy and energetic, but not at the cost of soothing, immersive synth tones on his version of “Wo Wei”, and Lawrence takes a decidedly minimal route when dealing with “Panomanic”. However it’s Tom Trago that steals the show with a killer reworking of “Essence” that employs a deadly line in offbeat rhythms to get hairs standing on the backs of necks in a most surprising way, and that’s before you consider the powerful strokes of synth he drapes over the track.

For his follow up to certified underground hits “Tonite” and “Enter the Fog”, Fit Siegel retains a firm embrace of both melody and rhythm. “Cocomo” is Siegel’s most delicate, and beautiful track to date.
