‘Fischerle’ is the work of Polish sound artist Matthew Wysocki. It would be a lazy injustice to describe the music here as simply being indebted to dub techno – whilst early basic channel influences are clearly prevalent, dub and techno rather form a basin for Fischerle to build his world within, a world in which the landscape veers from the rhythm and sound esque ‘Hidden Lake Club’, where paranoia seeps into the listeners consciousness with a quality reminiscent of the classic early Kode9 releases, to the completely off kilter Moritz Von Oswald drenched dub experiments of ‘Itch’, to the unlikely chaotic yet choral mix of a mass of pigeons on ‘Drama Workshop For Pigeons’.
