Hot Creations are back with another killer release, this time at the hands Igor Vicente who previously released on the label back in 2011 with the brilliant ‘Breathe N Pop’ as part of the duo Ultrasone. With the Ultrasone project at an end, Igor this time flies solo for the label, delivering two standout originals with intoxicating bass-lines and dark whispered vocals, creating endless energy of swing and groove to really work the crowd at peak time. Hot Creations boss Jamie Jones also delivers an on point remix of ‘The Knight’ with his ‘Electric Jones Remix’ adding new synth melodies and wonky FX, keeping high energy for dance-floor domination.

Originally from Belgium, Igor Vicente holds residencies in the finest clubs of Belgium, Café d’Anvers and Fuse. At Fuse he runs his new night State Of Flow and tours regularly around the world playing at the best parties and clubs.

As part of the duo Ultrasone, Igor Vicente released on labels such as Hot Creations, Visionquest and Supplement Facts with remixes on the likes of Saved and Get Physical. With his solo project he’s remixed Archie Hamilton and Patrick Meiner on Genial and Alejandro Vivanco on Sound Architecture. Now part of the Mobilee Agency he´s also recently dropped a stellar EP on the label.

Moving from strength to strength with the insanely popular Hot Creations imprint, gets set to release the an amazing new artist album this summer from firm favourites Digitaria.

In the midst of the increasingly popular house music hurricane comes a fresh two track EP from one of the movement’s most promising talents, Richy Ahmed. Taking cues from hip-hop, techno, funk and disco, ‘The Drums’ EP arrives on the 2nd of December via Hot Creations.

Just stretching his limbs in terms of his discography, in less than two years the London-based producer has gathered some series attention. From 2011’s slinky, deep house mover ‘Suck It’ (Hot Creations) to his 80’s chicago manipulation remix of Infinity Ink’s ‘Infinity’, there’s always an enviable glisten about his work. His wizardry behind the decks lead to him being named resident DJ at DC10’s Paradise this summer with the season coming to an end in late September.

‘The Drums’ got its maiden plays during Richy’s Boiler Room Set and the takeovers of Paradise Ibiza. The EP steps out of the blocks with definite verve. Title track, ‘The Drums’, a hip-house barnstormer of a track it massages a buttery-smooth rolling bassline into a four-to-the-floor backdrop with contagious results. Legend, Kevin Knapp, jumps on vocal duty dropping in and out with praise to ‘the drums’. On the flip side, ‘101 Jam’ is a rolling analogue slice of deep house brilliance. Here, Richy pitches skittering hi-hats and hyperactive synth movements atop a robust bassline foundation. It proves homage to the brand of house celebrated right from the genre’s genesis.

Tracks passed over soon after became the Digitaria/Funkyfat Masochist EP, a subsequent summer hit, and the rest is history. First release of 2013 was collaboration with the Adana Twins Reaction on Jeudi Records, and the Hot Creations Shine EP is sure to further mark the duo as a global force of nature.

After his excellent Lullabies To Paralyze on Visionquest at the beginning of the year,the Hot Creations enterprise have quickly snapped up the services of Butch and ahost of big hitters for remix duties including Maceo Plex, Miguel Campbell and PBR Streetgang, for their second release of 2013: Highbeams. First up we have title track Highbeams which opens with shifting highs and rims andelongated bass notes creating a real sense of drama in the mix. The exceptionalvocal talents of Benjamin Franklin then enter the foray taking the track to euphoricheights as Franklin showcases the full range of his vocal capabilities. Second original Faith gets moving with some intricate percussive work, which give it an incrediblyorganic swing. Ethereal vocal snippets and more dramatic bass, paves the way foryet another vocal bomb with Franklins voice again taking centre stage. Ellum label boss Maceo Plex steps up for the first interpretation of Highbeams andstays quite close to original whilst introducing his typically tight drum programmingand an electro infused bass line to the party. Then its Miguel Campbells turn torefigure Highbeams and he does so by restructuring the original vocal around warmpads and a trademark bass line, giving it the usual injection of cosmic funk for whichhe has become renowned. PBR Streetgang step up with a classy remix of Faith characterised by detuned vocalchops, an infectious bass line and very tight production skills. Finally Butch remixesHighbeams himself by cleverly arranging the vocal around a sample giving thetrack an entirely new perspective.
