Following on from the first installment of remixes that saw the likes of Ellen Allien and Mathias Kaden tackling material off her latest album, Dutch techno mainstay Shinedo this time opts for deeper remixes from a host of different characters, and the results are astounding. Jerome Sydenham keeps things techy and energetic, but not at the cost of soothing, immersive synth tones on his version of “Wo Wei”, and Lawrence takes a decidedly minimal route when dealing with “Panomanic”. However it’s Tom Trago that steals the show with a killer reworking of “Essence” that employs a deadly line in offbeat rhythms to get hairs standing on the backs of necks in a most surprising way, and that’s before you consider the powerful strokes of synth he drapes over the track.

We celebrate Intacto’s 10-year anniversary and welcome back co-owner Dylan Hermelijn aka 2000 and One with our 50th release on wax. 2000 AND ONE (aka Dylan Hermelijn) has been on the forefront of electronic dance music since the late eighties. His pioneering vision across more than two decades of music genres now ranks him as one the most versatile, in-demand international artists, commanding weekly performances on the house, techno and tech house global club and festival circuits. Not only recognised as a magnet for the clubbing crowds, he is also credited for championing the sounds of Amsterdam’s new school DJ and Producer generation and propelling the scene’s visibility into the international club headlights with his six Amsterdam labels, of which he co-owns Intacto Records with Shinedoe. A no-nonsense Techno release by 2000 and One entitled Rambik EP contains 3 tracks on both vinyl and digital format. Dylan draws his inspiration for this release from the Dutch word “Kattegat” which find its heritage way back in the 8th century when the Vikings first set sail and reign down to conquer West Europe. Kattegat is that narrow passage in the Baltic Sea that connects Scandinavia with the North Sea. Kattegat PT.1: A storm trooper anthem as the Vikings slayer in battle.
