The electronic dance world has seen the many sides of And.Id as a talented musician, a multi-faceted producer and a live performer on the dance floor but his latest musical rebirth has sparked a new jolt of inspiration to travel back to his early days in Thessaloniki where he passed the hours of the day discovering and analyzing a world of dance vinyls that ultimately shaped him as a live act today. The product of this rebirth is mobilee’s next album release, “Eternal Return”. The 12-incher is a new wave of And.Id and, to simplify it, an explanation of how he interprets dance music. Through nine tracks and one bonus number, And.Id generates a whirl pool of emotions for his audience as his first four tracks absorb the mind in an ecstasy of full-force body movement and dancing while a deeper story of his musical roots and influences take the vanguard role in the last five tracks. The album’s production kicked-off with a miniature wooden spinning top on And.Id’s studio desk. The greek meaning, “Svoura”, became the title of the number which unraveled the theme for the next three tracks. Jump to the third track and you may notice the powerful vocals of a globally acclaimed vocalist and house music diva of the 1990s. Listen closer and you’ll recognize her lyrics. “My Love” is a track inspired solely by And.Id’s tour through the U.S. while “They Say I Can’t Fly” is a melancholic and poetic tale of high aspirations and dreams. The message is clear – do your thing. The keyboardist of And.Id and B.A.N.D taps away in the final portion of the album and the bonus track concludes the album with a ripened familiar sound from the High-Five mobilee album. A whole lot of soul went into this album as And.Id explains: “Music for me is about creating emotions — when I make music I try to capture that moment.”

TRANSFER is a collection of poetry guitar music pieces originally released as a series of four seven inch singles based around the themes of transportation and transition; side A constructed from real or factual information and material, side B from fiction and fantasy. Themes were taken more or less directly from news items or literature and film history, from Jules Verne’s “Around the World in 80 Days”, the death of princess Diana and Grace Kelly, major plane crashes throughout history, Leonardo da Vinci’s musings on aerodynamics, to Agatha Christies “Murder on the Orient Express”.
Andy Moor and Anne-James Chaton first began performing together in 2004 when Chaton joined the Ex onstage to perform one of their songs. They later started to collaborate as a duo, building the music and text for one of Chaton’s portrait series; the journalist which later resulted in their first CD “Le Journaliste”, also released with Unsounds. Since then Moor and Chaton have toured widely in Europe, Canada and Japan, always building, reconstructing and adjusting their set and performance using improvisation as a creative source. In more recent months they have included video projections to the performances. They combine guitar riffs and loops, abstract noise, live sampling, dark beats and the unmistakable voice of Chaton, very present and rhythmic.

With Autoclav1.1’s 7th album ‘Portents Call’, proliferant Tony Young offers his listeners a cross-pollination of genres that pushes the envelope of his signature sound by stepping confidently forward with another engaging new collection of songs.

Airy atmospheres, evocative vocals, subtle orchestral movements, and symmetrical synthlines blend together over gritty and addictive broken beatwork to create a dense and engaging listening experience. ‘Portents Call’ deploys a contrasting blend of organic and mechanical overtures along with a seamless integration of punchy polyrhythms, inter-spliced with roomy atmospheres and strong piano melodies.

Watery kaleidoscopic undertones meet bassy synthlines as refreshing and uplifting atmospheres hover just above the dense and distorted movements beneath. Well-placed sonic artefacts lend a strong element of depth as atmospheric interludes break apart and reform into tight, melodious tunes.

‘Portents Call’ bravely travels to the edge of consciousness and evokes feelings both feverish and profoundly calming. A portentous journey of conjugated sounds and emotions.
