Mark Williams was one of the most talented UK producers to emerge during the late 90s. A truly unsung hero, his distinctive take on tribal techno always stood out. Bring You Love sees him continue that fine tradition. On the title track, Williams fuses emotive vocals and spine-tingling piano keys over a rolling groove. He applies a more visceral sound on the lurching rhythm of “One Night! (dub)”. Meanwhile, “Rolling Deep” and “We Work It!” are classic Williams. Powered by dense, looped drums, he weaves in brass samples, vocodered vocals and tripped out filters. Factor in a hard-hitting edit of the title track by label owner and long-time champion Ben Sims and this is a truly essential release.
