After several big remixes for Torque, U.S. dj/producer Jack Coleman aka JAK returns with the Pound for Pound EP, featuring remixes by Mark Broom, Trust the Machine, Masa Ueda, and Shine. Jack has been playing and producing techno and house music since the late 90s. However, it’s Jack’s studio output over the past few years on labels such as Torque, Fade Records, Subspec, 530Techno and his own label SubSensory Recordings that’s advancing his reputation as a U.S. artist to watch. With Pound for Pound, JAK fully embodies the Torque sound. The original mix is tough, raw and loaded with pounding 909s, strobing chords and lots of BASS! Legendary UK producer Mark Broom makes his first Torque appearance and delivers a superb, high-octane remix with a stripped down, dj-tool feel. This is prime time dancefloor material that won’t disappoint. Plus, we have another veteran UK producer, Trust the Machine, who makes his Torque debut with a dark, funky mix that’s pure main floor firepower. Torque founder Masa Ueda’s takes an unconventional approach on his remix with mental textures and fx and several skull shaking buildups that culminate in a huge payoff during the track’s second half. Torque resident Shine rounds out the release with a some serious darkness. Shine’s mix is what we’ve come to expect from the artist: killer production, big sounds and a tough vibe….
