“Primera Norma” is the Hospital Productions debut for Arnau Sala Saez’s Exoteric Continent—and a quick look on Discogs reveals Arnau to be behind Opal Tapes’ Ex-Con project, as well as one of the curators behind the impressive Anòmia label, home to that incredible MARS “Rehearsal Tapes…” box set and releases from L.I.E.S. regular Bookworms among others. The four tracks on “Primera Norma” were recorded purely on hardware and explore primitive analog techno that falls in line with some of Hospital Productions’ previous forays into the darkest corners of the dancefloor, somewhere between the rigid post-industrial techno of Shapednoise and some of Fernow’s own releases as Vatican Shadow.
