Way back in 2008 Buda and T.O.M. aka producers and DJ’s Torsten Jacobsen and Thomas Berthelsen released their – at the time – long awaited debut album as Lulu Rouge and today the equally awaited sequel lands. Compared to ‘Bless You’, ‘The Song Is In The Drum’ is in essence more of the same dub – deep, dark and excellently melancholic – with a string of guest vocalists, among them Fanney Ósk Þórisdóttir and Alice Carreri Pardeilhan who both appeared on the debut, and the amazing Annisette Koppel (The Svage Rose) who gives ‘Romano Songs’ heart to match the soul, so if you’re looking to be surprised you will look in vein.
