For their 20th release, Berlin imprint Kallias opens the stage to their favorite duo Nod One’s Head finally debuting on their home base with their „Secret Love EP“ with Remix-Work done by none other than dapayk solo and Johannes Albert.

Opening up the packet with the original version, „Secret Love“ is a full-front glam-jam that has been wildly anticipated and will rock you out of your dancing shoes. A firm baseline is your flight attendee on this journey with NOH’s special UK-rooted mixture of sweet live vocals and a jacking percussion frame work that gives the main synth melody room and space to spread, giving praise to their 90’s inspired House and Hip Hop ideals. Echoey voices – err … secret-love! – give you just enough pop appeal to see the openair season unfold. Dapayk solo also concentrates on a stable bass ground, although spare vocal usage gives the whole piece a more ghettoey-forward approach – aggressive hi-hats underlining the wobbly-base-scetch and the – of course! – the same catchy melody of the original creating a build-up that lets the beat flow and culminate in the Ohrwurm vocals of Lotte: „My secret love – nobody knows, nobody shall know.“ Finishing off the packet is Frank Music’s Johannes Albert, known for his A-class bass-laden acid house, giving the track a more underground appeal, taking out the speed, concentrating on a more lade-back approach, letting Lottes sweet vocals be accompanied by soothing acid-synth bits, that are underlined by a huge synth landscape growing into the night sky while the song goes on and on, finally turning into a beautifully arranged synth-piano riff that lets the track fade out.
