Heading over to the Saft stable for more of that ever-loving Larry Heard style, Luceri is on stellar form as he coos out a message of spirituality and electronic escapism. “Liger” is a slow-release affair that lets the strings creep in gently behind a steady tick of the drum machine and a steadfast bassline, while “Your Eyes & The Sea” heads into a blissful vat of mellow chords and spaced out claps. Gene Hunt isn’t afraid to rough things up a little with his remix of “Liger” though, deploying a tougher beat through which he weaves the melodic content of the original.
