Having chosen to launch Huhta Home Studios by re-engaging with Jesper Dahlback on the dormant Brommage Dub project, Jean-Louis Huhta returns to the familiarly darkly lysergic focus of Dungeon Acid for Blight Acid, the labels second release. The Juno review team has been big fans of Dungeon Acid since stumbling on some shaky YouTube footage of him slaying a festival stage via the RVNG Intl twitter feed a few years ago and this double dose of Dungeon Acid retains the deep, dark and dirty style that Huhta intermittently transmits onto vinyl, with lead track “Blight Acid” particularly unnerving to the sensory processes. Jared Wilson fans will be all over how “The Way I Feel” slowly unfurls from relative calm into full blown acid thrusting madness.
