Matt Walsh’s Clouded Vision Recordings presents their biggest EP to date with two peak time tracks from one of the figureheads of the French electronic scene. Backed with remixes from the label owner himself alongside Get Physical regular and head of Lithuania’s “Best Kept Secret”, Vidis.

Remote’s first release partnering Jennifer Cardini in 2005 as “Jenny Goes Dirty” warmly welcomed them to France’s label of the moment, “Kill The Dj”. The EP included a cover of the classic ‘Amoureux Solitaire’ and was picked up by the cream of the electro & techno crop including Tiga, James Holden, Tiefschwarz, Chloe & Ivan Smagghe. The duo have since recorded on an array of French imprints including Meant, Fondation, Tigersushi and Gesaffelstein’s “Zone”.

The A-side, Alcyone, is highlighted by an infectious synth hook blended with a powerful bass-line to create the most unique and stand-out record Clouded Vision Recordings have released. The second track, “Talk” is more of a jacking house affair, yet still full of John Carpenter infused melodies that build throughout it’s 9 minute existence.

With Matt’s most recent original material released on Kill The DJ, a remix from the label owner paved way for a perfect fit. He lowers the tempo and adds a rolling 303 acid line to craft a late night groove, perfect for the more discerning floors. Fresh from releases on “Get Physical” with production partner Mario Basanov, Vidis opts for a homage to French new wave by giving “Talk” an abundance of funk and sex appeal.
