Seamless Recordings brings you the new release from Angel Johnson. Angel began her DJ career way back in 1991, a veteran of her trade and a pioneer in helping to break the stereotype of what was once considered a uniquely male vocation. It’s hard to list all the achievements of someone with more than twenty years in the business but playing legendary clubs like Venus, the Hacienda, Ministry of Sound, The Cross etc…, whilst also travelling to the worlds’ best underground clubs in many far flung places – rank highly in Angel’s repertoire. As well as being a respected old skool DJ, Angel has a bucket load of releases under her belt. She has produced music under Angelheart and DJ Angel for labels like Hi Life, Vendetta, Groovebox, Milk & Sugar and Diamondhouse Records and also more predominantly writes and produces music under her down-tempo artist moniker Venus In Motion, releasing her album “Somebodys Heaven”, last summer on Seamless. Her latest release, Lovers Heaven features the vocal talents of Tammy Cartwright, and it’s a feel good track with a large dosage of funk mixed with live bass and big vocals that bottle that ever so popular 90’s flavour. The Lost Cherub Mix stays with the big vocals yet delivers a much deeper, moodier vibe, while Denmarks Jacob Bech, who has now had a several big releases on labels such as Large Music and Neurotraxx Recordings, strips things down, uses his trademark low bassline, warm chord stabs and classy arrangement to create a killer deep and cool remix that sounds outstanding on a big system to finish off this great package.
