A seamless and sumptuous offering here from Amparo; the “Gone Astray EP” blends lush liquid flavours with minimal, sparse soundscapes for the ultimate listening experience. Right from the off “Under A Maple Tree” soothes the soul with its sweeping atmospherics and light, ticking breaks, before are transported off on another sonic cloud in “Call Me” with its gentle, undulating melodies. The title track “Gone Away” is a lovely cut with warm, rolling bass, whilst “Summer Nights” is a dreamy, esoteric offering and “Useless” is full of deep, minimal sounds. “Cruise Line” concludes the EP with a flurry of rolling beats and liquid, chiming SFX.
