Almost a year after their last EP for the label, Italian duo Tempelhof aka Luciano Ermondi and Paolo Mazzacani return to Hell Yeah Recordings with another typically textured pair of summer leaning tracks ahead of the release of their next full length on the label. The tracks come complete with remixes from Border Community favourites Margot and revered Italian spinner Fabrizio Mammarella aka Telespazio.

First offering City Airport – which comes with a fun video by visual and live specialist Sorry Boy – is a deep and slow burning track with plenty of bubbling and gurgling synth sounds as well as widescreen cinematic pads. Set a purposeful pace the gentle rattling percussion helps drive things forward but the joy here is basking in the golden glory of the synth patterns which ooze and sooth as a chopped vocal flutters in their midst: it’s a perfect set builder or set ender alike.

The remix by Fabrizio Mammarella – known for his great and eclectic DJ sets – is a fat and squelchy affair with darting, shooting disco synths and scraping, metal percussion sounds, Its dynamic and ever changing, pulling you in many directions at once without ever felling cluttered or forced.

Other original Dunga is a much quicker and more clipped affair with heavy bass, kinetic machine noises and whirring synths all coming over like a new school UK house/bass hybrid as championed by the likes of Ben UFO and Midland. The repeated “whatcha gunna do” vocal is a call to action on the dancefloor as the beats and bass plummet deep down below.

Finally, recent Kill The DJ associates and fresh of the back of a hot Botox remix, Margot transform the track into a raw and punchy, shuffling house affair with thick frazzled synth lines and plenty of bottled up energy. It closes out another wholly original release for the ever individual Hell Yeah label.
