Oli Furness from Manchester has a natural ear for the deep and groovy as he says so himself and the 8ball EP is no exception. The Music Is Love boss now appears on Steve Lawler’s esteemed VIVA Music this time around and wastes no time on the title track which has all that booming, rolling, bass driven Hot Creations style vibe happening. Next up, “5 Minute Man” gets some early rave flavour happening with those snappy breaks over a 4/4 beat and a seriously snarling baseline. “Workout” is definitely the most solid offering on here; getting quite deep, soulful and emotive opposed to the previous shenanigans on offer.
