Curle Belgium re-release Matthew Herbert’s underground classic from 1995 “See You On Monday” which channels that emotive Windy City style deepness that was surely inspired by the burgeoning sounds of imprints like Prescription Records and Guidance, but a sound that was undoubtedly his own and this is testament to it. Scottish deep disco fiend and Firecracker Records mainstay Linkwood gets on board for a remix and he sure does have his work cut out for him. Rest assured that he does deliver the goods by not deviating too much and staying faithful to the original by just polishing up that rhythm section a bit and injecting some gloriously life affirming strings into the mix, which work magically.
