Crossfrontier Audio are proud to bring Foreign Guest to the foray, the exceptionally talented, Berlin born producer brings out his debut release on CFA with Rek / Fin. The release sees 3 brand new tracks, out for grabs early August, which are bound to cause some havoc on the floor. Foreign Guest is certainly no stranger to the world of music, a multi—instrumentalist from a young age; he took to engineering and producing not long after he was meddling with piano keys and guitar strings. Already playing out and proving popular, very much at home behind the decks, he’s emphasised the time spent in the studio to resonate right back to those experiences on the dance—floor, with production skills way beyond his years. With the hotly tipped debut, the first track on the release ‘Rek’ gets right down to business with melodic riffs, crafting an intricately built sense of depth that rides through the upbeat tempo, swarming to heights untold before the drop is unleashed on howling clubbers – it’s gone down a riot when played out live. ‘Fin’ holds up on the same ground too, yet sturdier and almost ghostly in aura, Foreign Guest devilishly plays with synths and pads to devastating effect on this one – big sounds, tightly woven together, with no surrender. The finale and another warm welcome goes to Rashid Ajami, the London based producer who’s released some top tracks on heavily—lauded labels and righteously so. It’s only fitting then that CFA brought him in to remix ‘Rek’ — Rashid brings a twist to Foreign Guest’s original, with a crisp finish he takes the already commanding notes of ‘Rek’ and uses them as a linchpin to drive the rhythm into abandon.
