Romanian minimal duo Audiotheque launch their new Anakronik imprint, and if you’re into that Bucharest sound then you’ve clicked on the right Juno page. These guys are steadily making a name for themselves among Raresh & Co. and their unique sound sculptures go far beyond the limits of the dancefloor. “Genesis”, for example, is a beat-driven techno number but its real charm lies in its minute sonic movements and intricate rhythm structures which render this an apt soundtrack to either a dark room with a soundsystem or a late night drive. The remix comes from Cristi Cons and the mood heads down even more turbid waters, where the atmosphere gains an even deeper level of momentum.
