Get Up Recordings’ next release showcases MissB, an up-and-coming talent from the UK, with the “Bugged EP.” The EP contains 2 original tracks, “Bugged” and “Dance.” The first remixed by label owner, Christy Love, and the second by San Francisco’s Dr. Sleep.

Hailing from Manchester is the relatively new producer Gina Breeze, a/k/a MissB. Already a DJ, having a residency at the club, SpeedQueen, playing the Glastonbury Festival in 2009 and currently holding a residency at BEATNIK, MissB’s logical next step was production. Her first track “Don’t Stop” was chosen as the winning entry at the Parklife Festival Producer Competition by house music giants, Heidi, Eats Everything and Jackmaster. Her production on the Bugged EP highlights the tech jackin side of house. The title track has a dark tech beat and a driving bassline, whereas Dance, although similar in nature, has a sprinkle more of jackin house.

NYC DJ/Producer and label owner, Christy Love, takes duties as the first remixer of the EP on the title track. Although she is heavily influenced by the Chicago house sound, she takes the bassline from the original, streamlines it and gives it a Detroit techno touch with a lot of bounce.

Dr. Sleep, a DJ/Producer and label owner of Jacktone Records, from San Francisco, is familiar with the label’s ideology of letting artists express themselves, which is exactly what she has done with her remix of “Dance.” Having released “Touche,” a beautiful pulsating techno track, on the 2014 Get Up Recordings compilation, “Get Up to Get Down: Vol. 1,” she uses that signature style of production on her remix for MissB. She takes the jackin beats of Dance and turns them into a techno film score fit for the Berghain dancefloor.
