Jana Falcon is a Berlin-based soulful house DJ and the Falling EP is her debut release. However, such is the classiness of her production, she would have easily had us convinced us that she’s a seasoned veteran. The title track is a raw slice of retro house featuring an old skool organ bass riff and distant, dislocated vocals. Elsewhere “Contemplation Of Inadequacy” stays on the 90s theme -echoing the trancey likes of Usura and finally “Petria’s House” is a haunting, lo-fi pop tune. The latter is also remixed by Dynamodyse, becoming a deep, sweaty tech jam in the process. Class!
