With summer party season in full swing, W&O Street Tracks has decided to deliver a multi-artist EP packed full of tried-and-tested bangers, tailor-made for sweaty, open-air dancing. Frag Maddin does his best Dam Funk impression on the brilliant “Blufunk” – all loose and groovy electro rhythms and sparkling analogue boogie synths – while U.S duo 909 Til Infinity gives the late ’80s hip-house sound a booming contemporary makeover via “Just Show Up”. The fun continues on the virtual flipside, where Stretch & Farley expertly combine muscular beats, drowsy chords, raw electronics and wavy old skool house vocal samples on “No Control”. Meanwhile, Taran and Lomov reach for the speaker-busting sub bass and Kraftwerk style computer bleeps on top-notch EP closer “Error”.
