For the label’s latest release, Melody of the Soul has turned to rising star Ranta, a producer whose most recent outing on Nick Warren’s Soundgarden imprint was well-received by DJs and dancers alike. As the EP title makes clear, Ranta has brought some studio buddies along for the ride. Label owner M.O.S and Miroshin make their presence felt on ‘Dikanda’, a dreamy and ethereal slab of chunky deep house loveliness blessed with Balearic musical flourishes and eyes-closed female vocal snippets, while Miroshin also co-produced the deep house-meets-progressive house sunshine of ‘Sogrevai’. The EP also boasts a trio of original productions, with the sunset-friendly tactility of ‘Round & Around’ and the twinkling, sub-heavy ‘White Avadon’ standing out.
