In previous years, Wolf + Lamb regulars No Regular Play have impressed via a series of cheery vocal tracks that sit somewhere between glassy-eyed Balearic synth-pop and loved-up deep house. That’s not exactly what they’ve delivered on this first outing for W&O Street Tracks, but many of the same stylistic ticks are present throughout. They begin with the pleasingly fluid “Right For Another”, where liquid synth motifs, bubbly electronics and hazy vocals ride a thick analogue bassline and electro-tinged beats, before joining the dots between vintage electro, trippy deep house and hazy synth-pop on the more relaxed “Tell Me”. “Seagulls”, the EP’s woozy closing track, wraps lilting (synthesized) trumpet lines around a rock solid deep house groove.
