Brothers Lars and Sven’s un-paralleled approach to the creation of music has rightfully placed them at the forefront of the world’s up-and-coming electronic music artists. Commonly known as Monkey Safari, the brothers have conquered all that’s stood before them, climbing to the highest heights and injecting a magnificent dosage of uplifting vibes to the globes darkest dance floors.

Now, Monkey Safari proudly announce their latest release titled ‘Walls’ through their own label, Hommage.

Capturing, elevating, and fusing the abundance of diverse sounds that Monkey Safari have become so rightfully championed with, ‘Walls’ is highlighted by intricately crafted percussion and a dusky synth arrangement creating a never before heard sound of eerie and ambience. Coupled with a haunting vocal sample, this release displays the duos much envied ability to produce a diverse range of music, from uplifting house cuts to darker tech sounding productions, ‘Walls’ reiterates the fact that Monkey Safari are at the forefront of a new wave dance music.

No strangers to catching the attention of dance music most prolific names, such as Kolsch and Wolf + Lamb who featured on their eloquently produced ‘Cranes’ EP, ‘Walls’ continues to follow this path featuring a host of remixes.

Techno heavy weights Josh Wink and Guy Gerber add their own touches to the track transforming it into a deeper atmospheric production yet still capturing the trademark essence of Monkey Safari. Supplying a superbly crafted and standout remix to the production is arguably one of music’s most iconic producers, Moby. Adding his signature style of mellow beats and a stunningly composed piano melody, his own take on ‘Walls’ brings a remarkable unique dimension to the release.

“I absolutely love the vocal on this track and really enjoyed working on it. Been playing it in every set since I finished,” said Guy Gerber. “I was happy when I was approached to be part of Monkey Safari’s new single remix,” said Josh Wink, “not all remixes I do happen quickly, but this interpretation was completed in only a couple days. This became a hypnotic eyes closed musical journey for me. There is a 4 minute break in the song where there is no kick- This is where I imagine people will get hypnotized and lost in the layers and pulses of sound. I’ve played it out and am very happy when I see the crowds with their eyes closed, lost and smiling. Waiting & yearning to know if and when the heavy kick will come back in. Then it all erupts! Lots of fun taking chances with this remix and glad to know that the Monkey Safari Crew like and trust my interpretation!”

Whether it be remixing Marc Houle for Richie Hawtin’s Minus imprint, taking to the DJ booth at the worlds most infamous festivals such as Time Warp or Awakenings or being featured on Pete Tong’s legendary ‘Essential New Tune’ selection, the duo have achieved an exceptional amount of success that continues to grow. ‘Walls’ carries the message that Monkey Safari are here to enchant and unite dance floors across the world with their soulful, experimental and captivating dance music.
