“BASST opens the Body Control Records debut by UHU with cosmic planetary science sounding like trumpets played by extraterrestrial lifeforms. BASE 808 rolls in next on a cold wave tip marching through like a military exercise in psychic warfare while kraftwerkian melodies and ominous humanoid promises pull you deeper down. DROP switches gears with honking acid synths twinkling star lines that recall the outermost regions. KADZU kicks in the 2055 pop lock competition on magnetic reactor 2 with super tight beats and clangin robot arps. CELESTIAL COORDINATION rips a disco track far off course into the galactic netherworlds. INDIA MIND recalls steamy tropical voices squirming through the hazey machined landscape. PHOTONES struts in with gorgeous electric hooks darting around the neon super highway. FIND YOUR WAY is unexpected, a soulful but moody journey with a vibe from Other Peoples Place at times. Album closer TIBET is a triumph of tuff drum pounding with warbly vocaloid echoes in a unique time signature that echoes of another tomorrow.
THE REMIXES
Kadzu rearranged by Jerry LaFlim takes on a Knight Rider cruise thru crystal towers soaring above the cold blue skyline. Pukemaster Gehm unleashes a punishing steamy Tibet rework that will crush the bones of the unsuspecting fire dancers. T/Error brings a nasty twist on Base 808 with fiery sizzle and pop.
D-Omen remixes Find Yourself into an acid dripping cave exploration of the humans underground. Dave Mono takes a pixelated monster truck over Find Yourself in his own style of broken machine music with groovey results. Certified Acid Wizard H.P. Sneakstep graces Photones with some intense and beautiful juke squirm from the future roboreaches of interspace Weakmassive offers Drop a new morning with breaks and flutes twirling across a saturn sunrise.”
