Avoidant unleashes another debut form the label from the mysterious Syrte. Keeping the tone on the Electro side once again, this 4 track EP cuts hard and fast. Lifeform opens with a punishing kick, rapid beats and tweeked out synths, delivering on a real cerebral head fuck. Robot Heart has Syrte developing the twisted beats more yet keeps matters on a more emotional tip with sweeping pads breathing life into the track before a mechanical message leads into the more intense part of the track. Trinity Star System strips things back a bit more but still has Syrte on an upbeat, space-age tip with the introduction of a funked-up 303 to keep things interesting. Volta closes out proceedings with more twisted machine funk and supering programmed 808 beats.
