Parisian label Kitsune have always had their finger on the pulse, supporting boundary-pushing artists from the electroclash days to today’s 90s revival. The latter is where producer Pat Lok steps in. His sound is steeped in the soundtrack of an era, the 90s, when he presumably was growing up, and he’s regurgitated it with a contemporary edge. “My Own Throne” is warped, warm and fuzzy house-pop – aural candy. Young Franco also delivers a cool leftfield remix with rhythms as asymmetrical as the haircuts of many a Kitsune fan. Finally “Let Me Show You In” is an effervescent fountain of synths.
