Russian deep house and disco stalwart Igor Gonya serves up a two-tracker on his own Sundries Digital that’s very much the traditional game of two halves, Brian. With its male vocal and parping saxophones, lead cut ‘Baloo Baloo’ is a tropically-infused slice of soul/disco that conjures fantasies of wild 70s nights at some high-society beach bar in the Caribbean, while the accompanying ‘In The House’ ups the tempo considerably, being a tuff n’ strutty disco-house workout (think Robsoul, Magnetic) with a very familiar-sounding male “ladies and gentlemen” snip (possibly from the jazz era?) serving as the vocal.
