The Swedish (but Berlin-based) duo of Henrik Jonsson and Joel Alter made their full-length in 2011 with Mod, an album of moody, atmospheric house. Since their first album happened more or less by chance—they bumped into each other in Berlin, had some jam sessions and compiled the material—they describe their second outing as a more polished affair. While fans of the original should recognize the sound, there are a few new additions. They’ve brought in the vocalist Kazumi, for example, for the track “Brevet Hem.” The album will be available on vinyl and in digital formats, the latter of which features the exclusive cut “Tribunen.”

Classy, timeless deep house done Berlin-style by Ji-Hun Kim and Julian Braun for the quietly consistent Just Another Beat label. ‘Somewhere Else It’s Going To Be Good’ is a lovely debut album, mingling new versions of tracks from their two 12″s with a brace of brand new recordings tracing similar connections between brake pedalling deep house and electronica/ambient home listening.
