New debutant for UK label 877, and this time the badman in question is the fresh-faced Skelecta, a producer who clearly understands the inner mechanics of house and garage badness. “Flavour” jacks up the house thanks to a glitchy selection of drums and a cold, pounding bassline that’s reminiscent of 90s Artwork business, whereas “Pain In My Heart” goes for the suave approach with the help of some progressive bass science and a little bit of digital melody for the heart and soul.
