The LA producer is most famous for his work with tape loop composition, particularly 2002’s The Disintegration Loops, which has gone down as one of the most seminal ambient records of recent years.

Cascade is a “single ancient lilting piano tape loop [that] repeats endlessly,” while The Deluge takes the same sound and processes it through feedback loops of various lengths. The former will see release through Basinski’s own 2062 on CD and digital formats on April 28th.
