We knew from the beginning we wanted to make something different than just a traditional remix compilation. ‘Reunion’ is more like a companion piece, a coda to ‘Dusk Union’. It contains completely deconstructed and rethought pieces recorded from ‘Dusk Union’ sessions. We wanted to make an album that can take on different lives when played soft or played loud. It is a record that attempts to display nostalgia and the beauty in things that are worn and decayed. Most of this material was produced with overprocessed and overdriven guitars, bathed in hypnotic layers of distortion – the cover art pretty much reflects the sound on ‘Reunion’. We hope you’ll enjoy this rendition of ‘Dusk Union’ as much as we enjoyed making it. So, turn off all the lights, close your eyes and listen loud.
