Violet Poison is Francesco Baudazzi, the Italian techno producer known best as the co-founder of the Zooloft label and for his music as Obtane. Where that project focuses on dark techno, Violet Poison goes a bit more experimental and obscure. Described as “analogue proto-techno,” the music takes influence from the likes of Downwards and ’70s cult Italian band Goblin. Where Voices From The Hell, Baudazzi’s first Violet Poison album, was released on cassette via Hospital Productions, Non Sequitur will be a double-vinyl affair, with a release date that’s imminent but not yet firmed up.
