1800HaightStreet follow up their sublime debut for the Lobster Theremin Black Label series with an equally deep and pumping EP on Mörk.
Delving further into what makes this reverent Vancouver trio tick, 1800HS reveal a deeper, smoother side to their production that still packs a punch, whilst exploring more tender themes. Twitching, rhythmic acid lines flicker over water-tight drums on ‘Dreamer’, crystal synths rise out of the raw depths on ‘Heldled’, and ‘Drained’ ends the proceedings on a melancholic yet emotionally ambiguous note, floating through seas of illuminating pads and steadily drifting towards the horizon.
