After last year’s House No.9, Dublin’s Peter Ward and Ronan Downing aka Terriers return to their city’s Major Problems label with a new EP. Much like their first effort, this is no nonsense gear, and “Second Labour” immediately jumps into a heavy groove made up of demolishing kicks, loose Juno 106 low-ends and a thick layer of ambience. Over on the B side, “Galactic Jack” does exactly what it says on the tine and delivers a heavy dose of drum flexing and space travelling, while “Aqua On My Mind” is the acid killer within the trio, the tune with the most menace in its underbelly. Check em’ all, though, because this is a killer outing.
