Hinode’s Science Fiction Recordings has mainly been a home to the duo’s own releases – a slew of excellent white labels that have landed here and there – but this week sees the arrival of the label’s first compilation, an extended 2xLP release of quality house music from all over the shop. Aside from Hinode’s own “Quintessence”, a glorious blend of hard-hitting electro and EBM, the other highlights include Jared Wilson’s supremely funky “Reveals Past Present & Future”, and DJ Richard’s drum-driven techno bullet “Black Vise”.
