In Aeternam Vale was created in Lyon, France in 1983 under the heavy influence of punk-rock nihilism, Kraftwerk roboticism and cold, aggressive industrialism. Bridging EBM, proto-techno and synthesised dark pop, the prolific Minimal Wave outfit was making fearless music in the 80’s that is only recently being reinterpreted.
This live recording is taken from Laurents pulsating Berlin Atonal performance, curated by Contort in 2014, and highlights some of his best work to date.
