“Introspekt is a 17 year old artist/DJ from Los Angeles, California. After listening to mixtapes from 2004 and making joke beats on Music 2000 he started collecting and mixing vinyl in early 2011. It wasn’t until 2012 that he became serious about producing his own tunes. Introspekt’s music is reminiscent of days spent listening to grime and dubstep mixtapes while playing Pokemon and drinking apple juice. With influences ranging from Digital Mystikz to Zomby, from Wiley to Peverelist, and from MF DOOM to King Tubby; it is quite difficult to put a label on his sound. All we can say is that he likes to explore the uncomfortable territory between dubstep, grime, garage, and techno and dance while doing so. He’s now a resident DJ for B-Side Los Angeles!”
