Having collaborated with Digital on a variety of releases throughout 2015, Response goes solo for his largest release to date. The moment the crisp arpeggio and chiselled drums of “Dopamine” hit, you know this is the real deal as clarity, balance and restraint are maintained throughout. “Someone Like U” takes us on a much darker, almost psychedelic tip thanks to its references eastern scales and tones while “Fire” is a lean, mean homage to his mate Digital and the legacy set by him and Spirit. “Affected” closes the show on a lighter, floatier vibe with big breeze nuances oft found on Goodlooking back in the day or Med School back in the future. The response? Positive.
