It’s been a long time coming for DBR UK; cutting their teeth with early releases on their own Broken Audio, Ingredients and Samurai, it’s their relationship with Dispatch that’s really flourished the most. Here we find them working together for DBR UK’s debut album and, in classic Dispatch style, not one of the tracks sounds out of place: the jazzy represents style vocalage of “Time Will Tell”, the late night warehouse nasty of “Dark Alley”, the stark soul and futuristic scattergun rhythm of “Only You” and the early Headz style ice of “Memory Lane” reflect how much thought and precision studio time have gone into this album. Rough edges, smooth soul: DBR UK aren’t messing around with this.
