As the helpful title suggests, the Belabouche & Friends EP sees the hard-working Italian joined by Mr Given Raw and KS French for an end-of-year outing on the latter’s FKR imprint. Predictably, Belabouche delivers the goods, smoothly moving between hazy, head-nodding A&R disco-soul (“Do It”), floor-friendly, ’80s funk-rock/disco fusion (“Monterey”) and rich, electric piano-laden dancefloor warmth (“Humpty Dumpty”). Elsewhere, KS French imagines he’s necked copious amounts of love juice and is cradling a loved one in his arms on the dancefloor (“Soul World”), while Mr Given Raw delivers two killer re-edits of smokin’ old funk jams (closer “Me & My” being our pick).
