Influenced by his life in a windowless studio (from which he was recently booted due to rent hikes) and composed entirely of battered wax and living tech, Vicetopia crumbles and thrives under an asphalt-infused haze. This is the score for mutant, cannibalistic pigeons struggling to escape a radioactive wasteland of skeletal brownstones and seething subway tunnels. Vicetopia doesn’t give a fuck about your soundsystem, snapbacks, or overpriced parties. Vicetopia is a shaman of a species left to survive after the carnage has passed, leaving scores of wack producers to ferment in techno’s vast and unforgiving graveyard.

Hot Creations are back with another killer release, this time at the hands Igor Vicente who previously released on the label back in 2011 with the brilliant ‘Breathe N Pop’ as part of the duo Ultrasone. With the Ultrasone project at an end, Igor this time flies solo for the label, delivering two standout originals with intoxicating bass-lines and dark whispered vocals, creating endless energy of swing and groove to really work the crowd at peak time. Hot Creations boss Jamie Jones also delivers an on point remix of ‘The Knight’ with his ‘Electric Jones Remix’ adding new synth melodies and wonky FX, keeping high energy for dance-floor domination.

Originally from Belgium, Igor Vicente holds residencies in the finest clubs of Belgium, Café d’Anvers and Fuse. At Fuse he runs his new night State Of Flow and tours regularly around the world playing at the best parties and clubs.

As part of the duo Ultrasone, Igor Vicente released on labels such as Hot Creations, Visionquest and Supplement Facts with remixes on the likes of Saved and Get Physical. With his solo project he’s remixed Archie Hamilton and Patrick Meiner on Genial and Alejandro Vivanco on Sound Architecture. Now part of the Mobilee Agency he´s also recently dropped a stellar EP on the label.

“Lo-tech homemade house and techno maneuvers out of British Columbia from D. Tiffany, whose recent relocation from Vancouver to her hometown of Nelson resulted in this debut collection of super raw and mesmeric experiments in home electronics. Inflected with some of the acid and much of the smoke from her 1080p split with Bobby Draino last year (under the Xophie Xweetland moniker), this self-titled release is as immersive as dissociative. Jittery, hypnogogic drifters like opener “Tranq Moon” are a mission statement for the smoked out and slinky grooves that emanate out of each of this release as a whole; loose but economical hybrids with a twisted sense of motion and genuinely weird sense of texture. “Fade Groove”’s nine minutes are a foggy yet glassy trip bumping with restless cowbell and a busted acid melody, a perfect example in both name and nature of her interest in deconstructing classic tempos into an indoors, escapist blur of brittle textures and subdued euphoria. D. Tiffany’s take on fantasy seems a specific one, a sort of burnt out flight of fancy thanks to a wild and fried imagination and just straight up cabin fever from the heavy Nelson winter. This deracinated take on house and techno ideals is built with blissed-out naivety and a super idiosyncratic set of frenetic rhythms and eye for comfy vibrations.”
