It’s hard to believe that Dysphoria is the first ever release by this artist because it is so well produced and brilliantly executed. There is a militaristic precision to this three-track release: “Bloodshed Corrodes Support” takes a sideways approach to techno, but its stepping rhythm and glitchy, percussive ticks sound strike effectively. “Practice Alienation” is set at a slower tempo and yet the rolling rhythm still hits heavy and the deep chord bursts sound triply and menacing. Finally, there’s “Only Stones Remain”. It too revolves around a slower groove, but the steely drums cut right through the dreamy synths to hit the listener with all the force of a karate kick to the sternum.
