The music simply speaks for itself from start to finish; Whether it’s Cromine’s elegant deep-house number, “Look Around”, or the slick selection of synths and delays on display by Spain’s Gimenez in “Coming Around” in the opening two tracks, the album is full of surprises and delights… Tuneon’s ‘Something’, really is something, Jonny Hopkinson (from NastyFunk’s very own Leeds) conducts “Searching” into your soul – almost transcending space and time in the process – and Ordonez & Montalvan’s musically excellent “If You Want Me” is an uplifting joyride. The EP smoothly glides from one track to the next via silky productions from artists such as Pablo Dass and his party starting’ “8 Hours” or spicy groovers like Touchtalk’s “Anything”… whilst the compilation also delivers prime-time fodder from the likes of Ricardo Mejia with his dark haunting vocals in “Someone”, or SION’s feel good party vibes in “I Already Know You”; before the dust settles, and the album finishes with Luis Leon’s super-deep “The Love Without You”… the perfect finish to a sublime collection.
