Frore is Paul Casper is Lilt is Frore, a self taught electronic “musician” from Virginia Beach VA.

Dark Duck Records recording artist Frore returns for his fourth album and second on Dark Dark Records, entitled “Undercurrent.” Incorporating rattles, stones, digeridoo, shakuhachi, fujara, Tibetan bowls, rain-sticks, theremin, synthesizers, drum machines, hand percussion and field recordings, Frore crafts an otherworldly, tribal odyssey rich in sonic imagery and mystical overtones. Seven tracks spanning over an hour take the listener down primal shadowlands where shamanic rhythms and spaces meld with slowly drifting abstract synth tones and washes.

“Undercurrent is about the connectivity of everything in our lives that we normally don’t see, or at least that I don’t see everyday,” says Frore (aka Paul Casper.) “With Frore I try and craft music that lets you leave your everyday life and enter a different world, somewhere else, but at the same time somewhere inside of you and familiar. Safety Scissors has already featured quite prominently on Ellen Allien’s BPitch Control, a label which readily guarantees quality on all fronts, but this is his first full-length work for the imprint and only his third altogether. It’s certainly bold and different to many other things featuring on the label, but Mr. Scissors has created quite a spectacle, where acoustic-ambient moments such as “Moving Light” are intertwined with maniacal beat-shredding like “Somnambulance”, the straighter 4/4 licks of “Gemini” or even the laid-back, pop rhythms of “Progress & Perseverance” and the glitchy, vocal-led flex on “Lights Out”. It’s great to see such a successful electronic label doing things just that little bit differently!

Underground Hip-Hop artist Effect has again teamed up with producer Dang. to deliver the album “You Don’t Love Me and I Don’t Care”. Most known for their work together on the album “Simply Dope” by Effect, which garnered the number 1 radio hit “Kill Your Idols” featuring MC Esoteric.

This new album is the first official release for the duo as a group.
