Joining Recycled Plastics’ expanding roster is Andre Zufall, better known to many of you as Mon0. Having released several excellent albums on Kreislauf, Test Tube, Silent Season and Sublime Porte, he has spent quite some time refining his own special brand of deep ambient drones and rhythmic pulsing techno.

Monophon is possibly Recycled Plastics’ deepest release yet, in terms of complete disconnected minimalist techno – longform tracks filled with dark passages of drones and rumbling low end, which eventually give way to womblike rhythms and organic percussive elements that build up like a storm cloud. Mon0 is a master of hypnotizing you with frequency alone, before gradually lifting up the curtain and revealing the alien machinery he’s built to receive and capture the raw slow breath of the cosmos.

An Expensive Vase is the first of several scheduled albums by Media Them at Recycled Plastics. The sound of Media Them is a unique blend of warm atmospherics and organic rhythms – electronic music reduced to the simplest of loops, repeating infinitely. It is both minimalist and maximalist at once, as Media Them’s composition lies not in the makeup of these loops, but rather, the size of the window we’re glimpsing them through. Small breaths of melody, heart flutters of bass, snare and hi hat and the coziest bedroom production give way to expanding universes of color and sonic exploration without end. Did that sound just repeat one more time than it did before? Was that other sound even playing since the start of the track? Ndru, a German minimalist named Andre, who is also known elsewhere for his experimental works produced under the name Bored Man Ganesh, as well as helming the Organic Industries imprint, makes a stately and vibrant debut at Recycled Plastics with Knospensprung. Comprised of tracks produced in past and recent years, Knospensprung is a multifaceted set of techno assemblages that pop and fizz with playful gaiety, and this album can be seen as the first of more to be issued at our humble label. Andre has been making music for years, and his works have graced clubs and vinyl and bedrooms and headsets all over the world as his sound grows and expands. We’ve been in love with his music in both the rhythmic and beatless capacities for a long time and it is nothing short of a massive honor that we’re able to bring you Knospensprung.
