After dipping their toe in with the Coldfish LP, All Inn are returning to the album format once again to present Kamran Sadeghi with the chance to impart a vision of electronic music with a techno framework, although his roots lie in more experimental forms. As such this is a classy set of minimal tracks that place dancefloor demands at the back of the priority list, and instead all manner of textures, sounds, moods and ideas round out a refined production style to a great end. “Follow Up” is a fascinating composition sizzling with subtle details even as it comes on smooth and appealing to the ears, while “Dig Out” constantly mutates with the slither of live drums in amongst the electronics. At every turn this is an album that will delight the mind in entirely original ways, which can never be a bad thing.

Claustro-euphoric techno from New Zealand (now Melbourne-based) Mark Wundercastle with 7 erudite and extremely heavy tracks tinged by early 00s futurist vibes. Tech paranoia dissolves and inverts techno’s dark bias into an uplifting and very deep journey of retroactive, pure reality.

Influenced by second wave Detroit techno and also gunked with residual traces of New Zealand’s club scene and “Herbal Highs” vibes that creep out of darkly nostalgic but synth-melody-heavy realms. Major cyber cafe marathon vibes come off this digital test, also jacked on late night endless scrolling YouTube trawls.

A post-dated industrial sheen is smeared with a murkier interest in surveillance, NSA/social networking-era dread as well as bygone sensations of gaming-marathons and cybercafes as much as clubs.

While ‘Perfect Fit feat. Heartbeat’ represented the softer, more organic moments of Niko Schwind’s recent ‘Grippin’ World’ LP, the second album single ‘My Heart Is On Fire’ showcases a tougher, more club-focused sound, that’s complimented well by Niko’s choice of remixers. On the original of Grippin World, a monstrous bass-line wraps itself around Lil Magdalenes beguiling voice. Bristol’s rising stars Waifs & Strays pitch down the original’s vocals and lay them over a grooving house framework accentuated by machine gun claps and stuttering vocal loops. We are then treated to classical pumping piano house in the form of ‘My Heart is on Fire’, which wouldnt have been out of place in early 90s Manchester. Lastly, Dale Howard turns in a muscular warehouse dub that perfectly round off a very solid DJ package.
