Shlomo is the latest DJ to become a resident at Paris club Concrete, and this release is tailor made for the feted techno party. In particular “Avadon Part 1”, with its high-paced rolling rhythm, zinging percussion and insistent bleeps, is sure to command the dance floor. “Part 2” sees Shlomo explore a more esoteric approach, with lithe break beats providing the basis for angelic vocals, ghostly textures and hypnotic, ringing bells. Rounding off the release is fellow Concrete regular Antigone. Providing a haunting ambient version of “Avadon Part 1”, it shows that the group of artists affiliated with the club have a wide artistic outlook.
